Chalet Hotel Bar Supervisor
Job Introduction
As a Bar Supervisor, you will use your skills and passion for hospitality and customer service every day. Your role is to manage our hotel bar by yourself, and provide our guests with a high quality service in a family friendly environment.
You will be responsible to the Food and Beverage Manager, and will also be expected to play a key part in assisting them.
We are looking for well presented, dedicated individuals with Bar experience in hospitality and customer service. You will have a well-developed eye for detail and enjoy interacting with your guests. Formal qualifications or previous experience working overseas are not required; energy, enthusiasm and the ability to learn and work as part of a team are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Ensure the bar’s turnover while respecting the margins.Working with your team, exceed the bar financial targets
- Ensure compliance with health and safety rules.
- You will welcome, serve customers at the bar and set up a service on the tray
- You will control the quality of products served to customers
- You will manage receipts
- You will manage the bar's supply of goods, controls stocks before ordering and the arrival of the goods
- You will ensure the maintenance, good working order and cleanliness of the materials, and equipment of the bar
- You will Implement and adhere to the HACCP process
- Controls the storage conditions of goods and the life of foodstuffs (Storage Limit Date, Optimal Use Limit Date). Implement efficient stock rotation and management
- You will adhere to the internal operating rules as laid out by the company
- You will ensure the correct wearing of the uniform, the good behaviour and the polite language of your team
- You will be occasionally responsible for running lunch service for the bar/restaurant
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
- Previous experience in bar work and hospitality skills are essential
- Great self-motivation and organisational skills
- Friendly, flexible & enthusiastic
- Able to deliver excellent customer service in all circumstances & to guests of all ages
- An understanding of the differences between adult & child holiday needs
- Knowledge of snow sports is advantageous
- A strong experienced team player
- At least basic French language skills are preferable & would put you ahead of other applicants!
- Availability for the whole season (Mid November until end April)

- Current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- We will conduct DBS (previously CRB) checks as well as taking up at least two references
